History

Established in 1969.
Richard and Ben Stockle are the owner and general manager, respectively, of Richard's restaurant in downtown Fresno. Richard, Ben's grandfather, opened Richard's in 1969, and it has become well known in the community of Fresno for its menu, which offers juicy steaks and fresh seafood in a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Visitors to the restaurant will enjoy a trip or two to the bar, serving up cocktails and impresive wine selection.

    I felt as though I had taken a step back in time. This is an old school steak house that I imagine would have had men hanging out at smoking cigars. I thought the service was good and the food was good. I ate here with a large group (30 people or so) and they were fairly quick. They do have parking in the back and the employ someone to watch over your vehicles

    Great food and nostalgic atmosphere! I have a friend who says 'You can never go wrong with Richard's' and she is absolutely right. The prime rib is to die for. The beefeater is awesome for lunch. Wonderful service! The bar side has those cool rounded booths, for a quieter feel, you can go to the dining room. It transports you back to the 60's. Go to Richard's!

    Went for lunch. Excellent lunch menu! Prime Rib was excellent! Drinks were made very well. Very swift and attentive service! Go and enjoy!
